Day 2.

Its been a few days since I've blogged, but here we are!
Day 2, May 27th 2010.
1st card: 5 of Wands.
What I see: I see 5 men all carrying their own wand. They seem to be struggling with it all. They are in a plain field.
What I interpret: Maybe a heavy burden being carried, or going on.
Quote of Summary: "A strugglie in life & love is suggested, for this card indicates petty obstacle & annoyances, short term difficulties in communication which, once overcome, can change things for the better."
2nd card: Death.
What I see: An armored skeleton riding a white, which stands for purity, horse. The skeleton is holding a black flag with a flower-like shape on it. They are approaching a wealthy looking man, maybe a king, woman & child, whom are on their knees. The skeleton & horse are also stepping over another wealthy looking man. In the background there is a sun & a city.
What I interpret: Maybe it resembles not death itself, but the overcoming of something.
Quote of Summary: "Death could mean the end of things in many different ways. For instance, the death could appear in the spread of someone about to be married, for it could signify the end of someone about to be divorced, as a symbol of the end of their marriage leaving school, leaving a job, leaving a country, all could be indicated by the appearance of death, but none of which signify physical death."

I'm getting good!
Thank you for following, also.

Day 1.

My sister has been studying tarot for a while now. Some of you might not know what tarot is? Well, tarot is. Tarot is a deck of 78 cards. In this deck, there are 22 major cards; The Fool, The Magician, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, The Lovers, The Chariot, The Hermit, The Wheel of Fortune, The Hanged Man, Death, The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgment, & The World. These represent The Fool going through a journey. In each of these, they can reflect off of your own life. Then, there's the other 56, set into 4 suits; wands, cups, swords, & pentacles. These symbols all represent something & that's how you read them. Wands mean fire. They tend to represent things such as creativity or passion. Cups mean water. They tend to represent things like emotions. Swords represent air. Those tend to mean things like your intellectual life. Last, the pentacles, which represent earth. They usually mean things like money, material life. They are separated like a regular deck of cards; there's the ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, pages, knights, kings, & queens.
I'm going to start a tarot journal, which I'd like to share. Everyday I will pick out a card in my begging journey through tarot & try to interpret it. Then, I will look up what it actually means in my nifty tarot book, The Complete Book Of Tarot, The Step-By-Step Guide to Reading the Cards by Juliet Sharman-Burke .
Day 1, May 20, 2010;
Card: Queen Of Pentacles.
What I see or observe? A queen is sitting in a throne holding a circular shape with a pentacle on it. She's in the middle of a field in the country with a rabbit on the ground, rabbit usually represents fertility. The throne has what it looks like a ram's head on the arm. There is also a rose vine at the top.
What I think it means? I think it might represent wealth in happiness & peace.
What the book says? I picked a quote from the paragraph that stuck out most to me. "Generous with her good fortune & may indicate help given on practical nature."

Welcome to my journey. :)
